Your worth is considered infinite and inherent, rooted in both your intentional design by the Creator and the high "price tag" paid for your redemption.
1. A "Designer Original"
Human worth is written into our very existence. While luxury items like Aston Martins and Apple computers require immense human engineering and precision, they are ultimately just metal, glass, and code. Even though people will go to extraordinary lengths to restore and save a damaged sports car, a machine is still just a machine. You, on the other hand, are not a product of random chance or a production line. You are a "living, breathing designer original" purposefully designed with logic (Logos) and intention by the Creator, who values you infinitely more than any luxury item ever made.
2. Worth Measured by Sacrifice
In Christian theology, the ultimate measure of human value is defined by what God was willing to give to reclaim humanity. The Price Tag: Your "price tag" was the life of Jesus Christ. Demonstrating Value: God could have chosen to forgive sin without a sacrifice, but doing so would have implied that humanity is "not of great value to him". By choosing the "costly" path of sending His Son to suffer and die, God revealed the special love and immense value He places on every person.
3. Worth is "Paid in Full"
There is a shift from "earning to receiving." In the modern world, people often feel they must "labour and perform" to prove they matter or to reach a status that grants them worth. The Christian faith "flips the script" by asserting: The Finished Work: When Jesus cried out "It is finished" (John 19:30), it is interpreted as meaning your debt is "paid in full". A Free Gift: Because the price has already been paid, your worth is a free gift that you simply open your hands to receive. You can stop "hustling to prove you matter" because your value is already secured through grace.
4. Partakers of the Divine
The Christian sources emphasize that despite human fallibility and "infinite" sin against an infinite God, humans are valued enough to be invited into a personal relationship with the Creator. God's grace provides what humans do not deserve, righteousness and life, so that they might have eternal peace with Him. In summary, the Christian perspective defines your worth not by your performance or status, but by your divine craftsmanship and the universal sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which established your value as something already bought and settled.
The Real Difference
If a high-end laptop or sports car breaks, gets damaged, its creator might replace it, or go to extreme lengths to restore it. But either way, it is still an object.

But the message of the Creator is completely different.

As 1 John 3:1 reminds us, the Creator's love has been lavished on us so that we can actually be called children of God.

Think of the famous story of the Prodigal Son (found in Luke 15):
​
A young man walked away from his father,
squandered his worth,
and hit rock bottom,
assuming he was ruined goods.
But the moment he turned back,
the father didn’t look at him like a damaged,
worthless item to be discarded.
Instead, he ran down the road,
threw his arms around him,
and threw a massive celebration.

No matter how far you've drifted or how much you feel you've wasted your design, you aren't treated like a disposable commodity.

 Before the Creator, every single human soul holds the exact same infinite worth. You are of equal value to God, a prized original, and you are welcomed home.
